We are about a month away from the mid-term elections, and many are asking me, what do I think will happen? First, when the year 2026 began, I did not think we would have a year filled with the Iran war, and be at this time with $6, $7 dollar diesel prices. Our country seems to have a perpetual division among two political parties, and what I believe the market is telling us is that it sees a potential likelihood of the Republicans losing either the House, and, or the Senate, leading to a gridlock in Congress, which will ultimately give the President less power to continue in the engagements of the Iran war, given the strong opposition the Democrats have expressed to the Iran war they insist on being an unauthorized, unfavorable war. As the markets are always forward looking, the increase in probability for an end, if not simply a pause in the middle eastern conflict, which would make way for improved flow of oil and the supply chains of critical minerals which we are dependent on, would all create an improved macro environment which would then lead to potentially lower oil prices, which leads to a lower cost of overall goods and services, which leads to a decline in the inflationary pressures, which then leads to a stronger economy, which then leads to stronger earnings and revenue out of the companies, of which the Technology and AI companies would ultimately gain the most benefit from. The outcome of a political election is unknown, but whatever the outcome may be in the 2026 mid-term elections, I continue to strongly favor the investments we have in our clients’ portfolio, because the companies we are invested in have strong fundamentals which I believe will keep gaining in market share, market capitalization, and ultimately market growth. I believe that no matter what the outcome of the mid-term elections may be, that our portfolios will benefit, and we will continue to see a strong performance going forward.
